Product information "Regenerative braking unit SRBU-100H 400V"
SRBU-100H – Regenerative unit for energy-efficient drive systems
The SRBU-100H is a powerful regenerative unit for efficiently feeding braking energy back into the supply grid. Instead of converting excess energy into heat via braking resistors, the SRBU-100H feeds the energy generated during braking back into the power grid with minimal losses. This reduces energy costs, lowers heat generation in the control cabinet, and increases the service life of the entire drive technology.
The regenerative unit is ideally suited for applications with frequent braking cycles, high moments of inertia, or large moving masses – for example in conveyor technology, machine tools, hoists, winding machines, test benches, or production systems.

Notes on design and installation
- The supplied input reactor is part of the system and must be used together with the SRBU-100H.
- When using a common DC link, a frequency inverter with the same or comparable rated power should be used.
- The SRBU output cable must be connected on the output side of the input reactor.
- A mains filter is available as an option and should be selected according to the total power of the connected inverters.
- Fusing must be designed according to 1.5 to 2 times the DC-link current.
- The voltage class of the SRBU must match that of the frequency inverter used.
- The rated power of the regenerative unit must be at least equal to the maximum regenerative power occurring during braking.
