Product information "HV Probe HTP06C"
The HTP06C HV test gun is used for safe contacting of the test object during high-voltage testing. The start signal is generated automatically when the gun is pressed against the test object, and the test leads are permanently monitored for cable breaks. The impact-resistant plastic housing is ergonomically designed for fatigue-free testing, and the test probe is made of virtually wear-free tungsten.
Highlights
- HV test gun with automatic start, contact check and cable break monitoring
- HV cable, 2-pole, blue (D = 9.6 mm)
- HV plug HVP06C (D = 6 mm), 2-pin, for plugging into the test instrument
- Max. operating voltages: 7 kV AC / 10 kV DC, max. 10 A
- Selectable cable length: 2 m, 3 m, 5 m or 10 m (other cable lengths on request)
Test safety
The test gun protects the operator from life-threatening contact with the high voltage. The trigger is secured against accidental actuation, and the high-voltage cable is not routed in the grip area.
Process reliability
The start signal is generated automatically as soon as both HTP06C high-voltage test guns are pressed against the test object (not already by pulling the trigger). The test time is therefore standard-compliant and precisely defined, and the high voltage only switches on after successful contact*. This avoids the overvoltage spikes that are otherwise common when making contact. The test leads are permanently monitored for cable breaks. This ensures that the test object is not pre-damaged by the test and that the correctness of the tests can be proven even in cases of product liability.
* when used with a suitable high-voltage test instrument
Handling
With the 10 mm long test probe in its extended position, even hard-to-reach test points can be reached, e.g. finger-protected screws. Between tests, it is retracted into a shaft made of arc-resistant Teflon so that it cannot be touched. The ergonomic grip design with a textured grip surface ensures relaxed handling.
