What is the difference between the PE test leads PEP2, PEP4 and PEP7?

The basic difference between the test leads lies in the number of pins.

PEP2 is a two-wire test lead with one source and one sense line.

PEP4 is a four-wire test lead with two source and two sense lines.

The PEP7 test lead allows multiple signals to be transmitted. The pins are assigned as follows:

  • PIN1: Source
  • PIN2: Sense
  • PIN3: Ground
  • PIN4: Start of measurement
  • PIN5: Result LED 1
  • PIN6: Source
  • PIN7: Result LED 2
