Reset memory of ST9201 in case of unexplained errors
The ST9201 loads the test program stored in the first memory location when it is switched on.
If the program stored there is defective for any reason, e.g. after a firmware update or because the programming of the flash memory is no longer unambiguous, very strange, seemingly groundless errors may occur.
To rewrite and thus clear the first memory location, proceed as follows:
1. Press the “SETUP” key and then the F3 soft key “New” to create a new test program.
It is not necessary to create program steps if you do not use the programs stored in the device in your workflow anyway.
2. Press the “MEMORY” key and use the arrow keys to select SAVE FILE, then press the F4 soft key “ENTR” to open the save dialog.
3. If necessary, set the number “SN” back to 000 using the rotary knob. It is not necessary to assign a name. Save the program using the F4 soft key “ENTR”.
4. Press the “MEMORY” key again and use the arrow keys to select LOAD FILE, then press the F4 soft key “ENTR” to open the load dialog.
5. The number “SN” should still be set to 000; if not, correct it using the rotary knob. Then load the program saved in step 3 by pressing the F4 soft key “ENTR”.
6. If the problem has not yet been resolved, restart the device once.
