ST600s | Initial commissioning – What do I have to consider (motor data)?

Before commissioning a frequency inverter, it is essential to load the factory settings via the menu. Afterwards, the rated motor data of the motor used must be programmed into the frequency inverter. These motor data can be found on the respective type plate of the motor.

Example of a nameplate belonging to a three-phase asynchronous motor:

The required parameters are located in the P02 parameter group. These are the parameters P02.01 to P02.05 for asynchronous motors.

Rated power (P02.01): 0.75kW

Rated frequency (P02.02): 50Hz (if above 50Hz, set P00.03 first)

Rated speed (P02.03): 1385 rpm

Rated voltage (P02.04): 400V (star connection)

Rated current (P02.05): 2.30A (star connection)

All other parameters (P02.05 – P02.10) can also be measured independently by the inverter. For this purpose, set P00.15 = 1 for rotating measurement without load or P00.15 = 2 for stationary measurement with load for an asynchronous motor. If possible, always perform a rotating measurement without load.
