ST600 | Initial Commissioning – What Should Be Considered (Motor Data)?
Before commissioning a frequency inverter, the factory settings should be loaded via the menu. Afterwards, the rated motor data of the used motor must be programmed into the frequency inverter. This motor data can be found on the respective nameplate of the motor.
Example of a nameplate belonging to a three-phase asynchronous motor:
The required parameters are located in the P02 parameter group. These are parameters P02.01 to P02.05 for asynchronous motors.
Rated Power (P02.01): 0.75kW
Rated Frequency (P02.02): 50Hz (for over 50Hz, first set P00.03)
Rated Speed (P02.03): 1385 rpm
Rated Voltage (P02.04): 400V (star connection)
Rated Current (P02.05): 2.30A (star connection)
All other parameters (P02.05 – P02.10) can also be determined by the inverter itself through measurement. For this, set P00.15 = 1 for rotating measurement without load or P00.15 = 2 for stationary measurement with load in an asynchronous motor. If possible, always perform a rotating measurement without load.
