ST600s | Err.05, what does this message mean, what can be done?

If the display of the frequency inverter shows the error message Err.05 appears, it is overcurrent during braking.

Causes:

  • The acceleration is too high.
  • The mains voltage is too low.
  • The power of the inverter is too low.
  • Temporary load or error occurred.
  • Ground fault or phase loss occurred at the output.
  • Strong external sources of interference.
  • The overvoltage tilt protection is not activated.

Solutions:

  • Increase acceleration time P00.11 or Braking Time P00.12 erhöhen.
  • Check the input power.
  • Choose the VFD with greater power.
  • Check if the load is short-circuited (ground fault or short-circuit between the wires) or if the motor does not rotate smoothly.
  • Check the output wiring.
  • Check if there is strong interference.
  • Check the setting of the corresponding function codes.

If none of these error sources apply, please contact technical support.
