ST500 | I need a free stop or emergency stop for an emergency stop button – What do I have to do?

The frequency inverters of the ST500 series have terminals DI1 to DI6 or DI8, with which the inverter can be switched to a free stop or emergency stop via control pulses or simple buttons. In order for the inverter to accept the control pulses of the terminals, F0.11 = 1 or 4 must first be set.

Terminal assignment and parameterisation in detail:
Switch between e.g. DI1 and COM

F0.11 = 1 (control mode on terminals) or = 4 (terminals and operating unit)

F1.00 = 8 (digital input DI1 – control command free stop, inverter no longer applies voltage to motor output)
or
F1.00 = 47 (emergency stop, the motor is actively braked as quickly as possible, voltage is applied until standstill)

If a normally closed contact is used as an emergency stop switch for safety reasons (tripping in case of line interruption), the logic of DI1 must be inverted:
F1.35 = 00001 (polarity inversion DI1).
