ST500 | Err.05, what does this message mean and what can you do?
If the error message Err.05 appears on the frequency inverter display, it indicates an overvoltage in the DC link during motor acceleration.
Causes:
- Too high input voltage at the frequency inverter or a moment accelerating the motor during the acceleration phase can cause this error. A too short acceleration ramp can also trigger this error. These causes lead to overvoltage in the DC link of the frequency inverter.
Solutions:
- Check input voltage and wiring.
- Remove external torque.
- Increase acceleration time.
