ST300 Series | E6 – What does this message mean and what can be done?
If the error message E6 appears on the frequency converter display, it indicates an overcurrent during constant speed operation.
Causes:
The acceleration or deceleration ramp is too steep.
The mains voltage is too low.
The converter’s power is insufficient.
Temporary load or fault occurred.
Ground fault or phase loss at the output.
Strong external interference.
The automatic current limit is not enabled.
Solutions:
Increase acceleration time P00.11 or deceleration time P00.12.
Check the input power supply.
Select a converter with higher power.
Check whether the load is short-circuited (ground fault or short between lines) or the motor is not running evenly.
Inspect the output wiring.
Check for strong external interference.
Check the relevant function codes P11.05–07.
If none of these issues apply, please contact technical support.
