ST500 | Permanent magnet synchronous motor
Permanent magnet synchronous motors can be operated by the ST500 frequency inverter, but only if a rotation or incremental encoder is present on the motor and the matching encoder card for the frequency inverter.
Automatic calibration of the extended motor parameters (b0.27) is then required.
Operation in vector mode is not mandatory, but is strongly recommended for efficiency reasons.
